Hallo! Ich lebe. Mir geht's gut. Und ich hab nur ganz kurz Zeit.
Heute ist mein letzter Tag in Neuseeland. Bin grad mit meinem Vater in Auckland und hab noch letzte Weiterreise besorgungen gemacht. Die letzte Woche war ich mit ihm alleine unterwegs auf der Nordinsel.
Die ganzen drei Wochen waren einfach richtig schoen!! mit meiner Familie hatte ich eine gute Zeit und gute Gespraeche und das Land ist einfach wunder wunderschoen...
Morgen gehts weiter fuer 24 stunden nach tokjo, dann mexico...

Es tut mir leid, dass ich in den letzten Wochen und Monaten, nur in Englisch über meine Arbeit oder gar nicht geschrieben hab. Ich hoffe, ich werd das Blog-Schreiben ab Neuseeland wieder aufnehmen!
Eine abschließende Zusammenfassung meines Aufenthalts auf den Philippinen zu schreiben, ist schwer. Ich hatte himmlische, ganz alltägliche und schwere Stunden...
Prägend war das Familienleben mit gemeinsamen Essen, Diskussionen, Alltag und schönen gemeinschaftlichen Momenten. Wichtig waren auch meine Praktika, die unterschiedlicher und interessanter kaum hätten sein können. Eine schöne Erfahrung waren die Freundschaften, die ich im Laufe meines Aufenthalts hier geschlossen hab. Ina, die viele meiner Erfahrungen geteilt hat und mir eine unglaublich wichtige "seelenverwandte" Gesprächspartnerin war und sein wird! Andre und Julian, die 2 deutschen Manila-Jungs, die mich hier vor Langerweile gerettet haben! Tage am Pool, Kultur- und Stadtprogramm, Restaurant- und vor allem Clubabende haben wir zusammen erlebt. Ob der Kontakt halten wird? Mal schauen... Außerdem hab ich viele Ausflüge gemacht, bin auch sehr abseits von touristischen Pfaden gereist, bin gewandert, gesurft und hab das Tauchen wieder aufgenommen... Außerdem hab ich viele schöne Stunden mit euch am Telefon verbracht und meine Weiterreise geplant!
Es war eine irre wichtige, einprägsame, schöne Zeit... Morgen fliege ich nach Neuseeland, wo ich meine Familie in Wellington treffen werde. Wir haben ein Auto gemietet und werden damit 3 Wochen durchs Land fahren... Meine Eltern gehen ins Hotel und meine Schwester und ich dürfen im Auto schlafen!:) Ich stells mir irre lustig vor und freu mich richtig darauf...
Danach geht es für mich weiter nach Mexiko und meine Familie fliegt zurück. Für die, die sich Sorgen machen, ich werd kaum allein unterwegs sein... In Mexiko City treffe ich Chrissi, eine Freundin meiner Cousine und in Matzatlan besuche ich Fer, mit der ich letztes Jahr zusammengelebt hab. In Argentinien reise ich mit meiner Cousine Inken. UND :) nach Kenia begleitet mich Marielle!! :) :) :) Cori überlegt noch und Vicky hält sich zur gleichen Zeit im Nachbarland auf - an einer "Thailandfortsetzung" wird gefeilt... :) Freu mich so!!
Tja... Am 15. April komme ich nach Deutschland zurück und muss mich dann erstmal um Arztbesuche, Unibewerbungen, einen Job und einen Wohnort kümmern! :)

Today is my second last day at the World Bank, before I go on travelling to New Zealand...
It's been a great time, including really nice colleagues, loads of insights into the activities of the World Bank and especially it's external relations team, some special events like videocons and discussion-forums and nice filipino food in lunch times once in a while... :)

In the last days, I've continued helping Kitchie with the media monitoring of the financial turmoil and assisted Rom in sending out letters to partners.
Yesterday morning, I had a meeting with Moira to talk about my ideas for the "Related Links" website, which I have still been working on.
Afterwards, I designed and gathered information for a joint World Bank - World Health Organization - Asian Development Bank - Portal for the Philippines. All of these organisations have libraries or information centers open to the public whose facilities, services, databases, programs and contact information will be published on a joint website.

Apart from that, I am working on my feedback assessment which I have to complete to give Moira some suggestions on improving the output of the Youth Learning Program for future participants and for the World Bank. I get to write about my expectations, my tasks and experiences and my recommendations...

Tomorrow, a discussion-forum on Conditional Cash Transfer will take place in the Asian Institute of Management, where I've been once before for the "Youth Entrepreneurship" Videocon. CCT is a program that gives money to the poorest families who have to fullfill certain requirements like sending their children to school and having medical treatment to recieve that money. This program has some opposers, so after talks by several people, there is room for one and a half hours of interesting discussion. I have to help document the discussion highlights as a basis for the synthesis and closing remarks - important work, so I really hope I don't screw up! I need to understand what they talk about... :) so today I'll have to do some research on CCT!
Afterwards, I will attend the general assembly of a cooperation named "Bantay Lansangan" of the Department of Public Works and Highways that analyses, monitors and supports reforms in the road sector, which will hopefully be an interesting ending of my Youth Learning Program...
